Crypto mining from home

Crypto home mining is trending again and starting to gain ground after the complete fallout of 2020-22, but is it worth the effort?

I personally believe it is.

Maybe a few years ago before I really understood the empowering nature of crypto I would not have said so.

Even the concept and the idea of crypto mining from home and making and income is exciting. However, the true issue is can it be done as simply as many say it is?

Can you mine Bitcoin from home?

Undoubtedly, Bitcoin is still the most sought after and most popular cryptocurrency in the world. At its highest point an investor could get as much as $68000 for one Bitcoin. However, what goes up must come down. The smart traders and investors unloaded their coins before it was too late, but of course many who used Bitcoin in their portfolios and pensions found it more difficult to get out.

I believe that the main issue comes down to being flexible on how we work to earn Bitcoin in the first place. There are a few ways of protecting yourselves against a total wipe-out, such as being a smarter investor and trader, but also taking advantage of mining cryptocurrency.

Mining coins is really the only way of somewhat protecting yourselves against the already volatile crypto marketplace. Fortunately, it has become very easy to earn Bitcoin by simply surfing the internet. This has developed over the last few years to include mining on even mobile devices.

However, even though it is possible to earn Bitcoin mining it has become a bit more difficult. Unless you are using a major mining rig or rigs the amount of Bitcoin that can be mined is very small. Fortunately, there are easier ways around the difficulties of mining Bitcoin by mining an alternative cryptocurrency.

What is the best crypto to mine at home on a desktop computer?

Nowadays Bitcoin can not be mined on a home computer, however, other coins can be. And let’s be honest, investing in any cryptocurrency has its risks. So, mining is a real option for all of us.

What is the easiest way to do crypto home mining?

Well, in my opinion, the easiest way is the cheapest way where we don’t need to buy a massive mining rig is making a home mining rig from your computer. This means considering mining altcoins on our home computer.

What crypto can we mine from home?

There are a few options such as Ethereum, Dogecoin, Monero and ZCash. I have given then a star rating so you can see which coin is in my opinion the best cryptocurrency to mine from home.

Ethereum (ETH) ⭐⭐⭐

You may have heard about Ethereum unless you have been living in a box. It is the second biggest cryptocurrency in the world. Even though we are all impressed Ethereum can still be mined from home with the aid of a powerful enough graphics card.

Dogecoin (DOGE) ⭐⭐⭐

Again, you may recognise Dogecoin because of its relationship with Elon Musk. It can be easily mined using a CPU or a GPU mining software. Use adequate graphic cards, such as AMD and Nvidia cards, however if you are using your GPU a special software will be needed.

Monero (XMR) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

If you are interested in keeping the cost of mining down, Monero should be your first choice. Monero (XMR) is great for browser mining as used in the CryptoTab browser. Interestingly, even though CryptoTab mines Monero (XMR) with its browser, it pays users with Bitcoin.

ZCash (ZEC) ⭐

Zcash (ZEC) has been around since 2016 and is seen as a privacy-centric digital currency. It has been shown to be a bit difficult for the home mining crowd, because it is quite resistant to mining on ASIC platforms. This means that the ZCash crypto home mining can only mine with a GPU. In addition, the miner needs to use a specific software for controlling the computer hardware. To make the mining process even more problematic the miner needs to download the Zcash blockchain and set up your wallet. All of this is very time consuming and even a bit confusing if you are not accustomed to mining cryptocurrencies.

Out of all of these cryptocurrencies Monero (XMR) stands out of the crowd. It is so simple to mine and apart from downloading a browser you are set to go.

Why is Monero (XMR) better for crypto home mining?

Simply, Monero (XMR) was designed specifically to be mined on a ASIC device such as a desktop computer, laptop or mobile device. This makes it perfect for someone wanting to get in at the bottom level. This is why Monero has become a very popular and accessible anonymous digital currency.

The only aspect about mining Monero (XMR) that needs to be confirmed is that you are using a mining software that supports Monero.

The best home mining software to use is not really a software, but a browser called CryptoTab.

What is CryptoTab?

CryptoTab is a crypto mining system that uses a web browser with a mining feature so anyone with a computer can earn Monero (XMR) from home. So, when you are on Facebook or watching a YouTube video or even listen to something on Spotify you can mine crypto.

What is even cooler about CryptoTab is that you can also mine on your mobile device.

A quick tip: If you are going to use a mobile device to mine Monero (XMR) upgrade your app to pro. It is only a few dollars, but you will be able to mine five times as much, which in my case is about 1700 H/s.

CryptoTab is developing all the time with new services such as cloud mining, free mining software service and NFT.

For those not familiar with the term NFT, they are digital assets like other cryptocurrencies that exist on the blockchain. However, unlike Bitcoin an NFT is a creative and digital product such as images, videos, music and text. These can be bought and sold just like other currencies and also created or mined themselves.

To make CryptoTab even more interesting they have a ten level affiliate program. This means that you can share CryptoTab with family, friends and your mailing list and earn an extra percentage yourself.

How do you earn from crypto home mining?

Regardless if you are investing, trading or mining cryptocurrency you will still need a wallet. I would personally recommend one of the larger trading platforms that also offer a cash card for withdrawals. The advantage of using a large trading platform is that they are stable and your money is secure. Also, if you wish you can do some trading with the coins you have earned from mining or transfer your coin to a safer currency when the market becomes volatile.

What is the best trading platform you use?

I have been personally been using and trading on Binance for some years with no real issue. They have very low trading fees and a vast range of cryptocurrencies you can buy and sale. The platform is very user friendly and has an additional App for easy access. There are some additional tools, an affiliate program for those interested and a cash card option allowing access to your funds quickly and without a fuss.
